Academic Programs

The degree programs at Shepherds Theological Seminary equip students to excel in a wide range of ministerial opportunities. The various academic degrees provide specific disciplines of ministry for which God has uniquely gifted each student. Each of these programs couples academically challenging classroom study with mentorship by experienced ministers. Diploma Program
While Shepherds Seminary offers several accredited masters level degree programs, we understand that there are individuals who desire to serve the Lord, yet do not possess the academic credentials, financial resources or time allocation to commit to a Masters level curriculum. In order to serve the needs of those within the body of Christ who desire training toward servant leadership, Shepherds offers two options—the Diploma of Church Ministry and the Diploma of Counseling. The purpose of these Diploma programs is to provide a basic biblical and theological foundation to students who either have limited or no undergraduate college credit, or who do not feel called to pursue a formal graduate degree.

Audit
There are some who are interested in engaging in a level of biblical knowledge gained in a seminary classroom but are interested neither in seeking a degree, nor in gaining credit for a course. These students want to enjoy the theological resources of the Seminary in order to grow their relationship with God and to pursue work in the church. Our audit program meets this need.
